Title: The Revolution
Post by: Kimoto on December 19, 2013, 04:33:39 AM
Spring
6:35 AM

Jamie yawned as she pushed open the door to The Revolution... First Day Open, a Hiring Sign on the outside wall, and very few secure employees.

None of that really mattered, as she just went to the nearest couch and fell asleep on it before Adam got there, who stared for a minute, and started getting the store ready for the day by himself. His manager... Was useless. He made sure to put up the hours sign. Each day The Revolution would open at 9 AM, and close at 11 PM. Those who could show up most days are the best for hiring.

He felt fairly uncomfortable as he spent the next 2 hours and 20 minutes cleaning thought due to the... Adult Gods area upstairs.

"Hey. Kitty. Wake up." He flicked Jamie's forehead as he yelled at her, causing the short one to fall off the couch.

"Ow... Kiki you jerk... Just a few more minutes couldn't have hurt..." He directed the manager to the clock... As she suddenly started freaking out, running to check everything, while he himself went over to the place where he could make and sell coffee.

9:00 AM

And like that... The Revolution was officialy open. Though the two employee's inside weren't really doing the best to make it look impressive.

Adam just stood there as the coffee brewed, dressed in a dark green t-shirt and blue jeans, while Jamie ran around with a checklist, looking over all the work Adam did, while wearing a pink no sleeve and camouflage jean shorts. Unmatchingly she also had sandals on, and hadn't even bothered trying her hair up that morning. Adam on the other hand had been sure to gel his hair back.

There was a tap on Jamie's shoulder. The moment she turned around, she'd see an orange, bright, and tacky as all hell Hawaiian shirt on a woman who was grinning from ear to ear and saluting.

"Z Marx, reporting for duty, SIR!" Zelina shouted, adjusting her jeans a bit with her other hand. "Where am I stationed today?!"

She'd honestly probably be shouting all day if she wasn't told to use her inside voice.

There's a whistling sound coming from the Comic Book section. To be exact, a carefree tune coming from a Latino woman wearing black shirt and jeans. Normally if it's any other day, Olalla would have been at school by now. She isn't though, mainly her local high school is on Spring Break.

She's not complaining though and didn't think about it. All's she's thinking is wondering what kind of costumers that this place are going to have today for her first job. Even daydreaming for that kind of moment, despite the yell from her fellow co-worker in the area.

"Wonder if it's a super hero like those covers talks about?~" Olalla optimistically said. ...Yeah. Her imagination is either wild or naive for what awaits for her.

Jamie turned and smiled as she pointed... Over at the stairs.

"Someone needs to take care of the clothing today. And uh... The... Adult Stuff... Incase someone goes in there." She obviously wasn't comfortable with that area even if it had been her idea.

"Clothing shop it is! Right away, SIR!" Zelina shouted, before walking upstairs with a swing in her step and a smile on her face. The moment she turned the corner upstairs, however, she ducked against the wall and her face blanked. Her head almost creaked as she slowly looked at the Adult store and sent a silent prayer to whoever's listening that no one would enter it today. She then regained her posture and walked over to the clothing store, jumping over the counter and putting on a cheery face.

Now all she had to do was wait.

And... Then. Someone enters the building through the front door. One to be exact. A man in his 40's enters the building, wearing a green polo shirt and slacks. What's somewhat notable about him is that he's wearing a eyepatch for his right eye. It is uncommon, but there are cases of people who lost their eye through events like accidents.

The elder man stop to look back and forth to glance at the sections as far as his single blue eye can see and seem to spotted the map for the place. He walks up to look at what's stores are in the Revolution.

-

"Ah~ Is that a costumer I see?" Olalla said as she spotted the man who looks at the map. "He didn't seem like a superhero, but they have superhero identities right?" ...Don't know what she's talking about now. But right now, she's... still waiting.

Zelina had sat down behind the counter, yawning. The coffee was wearing out too soon, she thought. It was still early, no one would probably be here. She stood and started walking back downstairs, hoping to get a cup to keep her awake for the morning. The moment she did, however, she saw the man who had walked in, and a smile stretched onto her face. Noticing how Jamie hadn't reacted to him yet, she more or less snuck up behind him and fixed her tired posture.

"Welcome to the Revolution!" She said in a chipper voice that was less than appropriate for indoors, "Are you looking for anything in particular?"

The elder man froze for the moment, didn't even jump up in surprise or did not have any signs of a heart attack, instead he turns around to meet Zelina. Perhaps calmly turns around, then he clears his throat. His dark blue eye focused on the worker that asks him. Seems to have a professional air around him.

"Arts and Crafts." He answered. Straight to the point and clear. "Something for a project if you will."

Jamie distractedly walked over and got some Coffee from Adam, before noticing the man getting help.

"... Woops."

A customer came in shortly after the man. The Customer is a fit young lady in her mid-20s, with a black pony tail tied back. She worn a black tank top and some grey workout shorts. She whistled as if she was surprised that the place looks more like a Mall than a store. She wondered if the place has a department for sports.

-

A few moments later, A young man with black and red dyed hair, He worn a white collared shirt and black jeans, his tattoo on both of his arms exposed as Zombie Women posing as a pinup girls. His Icy blue eyes survey the mall as if he is searching for something particular. In another person's view, he would definitely fit as a Goth. "Find a job he says. Was doing fine street performing." Harper grumbled.

Zelina smiled at the man, and opened her mouth as if she was about to reply, before pausing.

"Ah...would you excuse me for a moment?"

She ran-walked over to the coffee shop and stopped in front of Jamie.

"Do we have any place for Arts and Crafts?"
Title: Re: The Revolution

Jamie thought about it, making a low humming sound, before she shook her head no. Then she went over to help the customer who just came in who she could only assume was a goth.

"Hello!"

Zelina nodded and returned to the man with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, but we don't have anything for arts and crafts..." She coughed a little. "Um...there's a Micheal's about ten minutes away from here, though!"

"Very well. Sorry if I taken your time and I'll be on my way then. Thank you for the suggestion." The man nodded to Zelina. Then he proceed to walk out to exit the store, walking pass by the young lady with black pony tail who was surprised by the place.

-

Olalla is pretty bored. So, she proceed to whistle another song as she takes out a white cloth and wipe the glass counter. The comic section do need some cleaning any way.

Zelina waved to the man as he left, before walking back to the coffee shop and laying her head on the counter.

"Adam, I need something so strong I'll feel like Superman just punched me in the gut."

Harper looked towards the woman. As much as he did not want to ask about the sign that says, "Now Hiring", He might as well ask about jobs. Anything to shut his roommate up. "Hello, I was wondering if I can get a job application to fill out." Harper asked the woman in a polite manner. He will have to admit, with so many departments there's bound to be an opening in positions.

Adam just nodded as he gave her some Coffee.

"Even if we work here it's not free remember? Be careful what you ask for." He made sure to warn her properly, as he added some stuff in it to give it a kick.
...

The short adult just tilted her head and smiled...

"... Oh no need to fill out! You can have it and start now! We need more people anyway! You can fill the papers later, I'm the Manager, Jamie Mackay!"

Zelina waved Adam off, taking the drink. "Just put it on my tab."

She then lifted the cup to her lips and began chugging for a solid ten or so seconds. She lowered the cup, snapped her mouth a bit, and blinked. She sat still for a moment.

And then sprinted upstairs, jumping over the counter and standing as still as a statue, aside from her eye which occasionally twitched, with a grin that would probably scare off any small children that were unfortunate enough to look at her.

And medium-sized children.

And maybe a couple adults, too.

The young goth boy was not sure what surprised him more, the fact that he got a job as soon as he walked in the door, or the fact that he got a job. But regardless, he got a job. "Alright. I'm Harper. Harper Thurston," He introduced himself. "So... where do I go?" Harper asked, pointing around unsure of what his exact position is.

"Arcade!" Jamie decided on the spur of the moment, pointing over at the game machines, as she handed him a blank badge and went to go get out some boxes.

Adam on the other hand... Regretted what he had done.

A man in a simple suit, tie, and fedora walked into the Revolution and walked immediately to the map. His face was stern and blank, but his relaxed shoulders and hands in his pocket made it clear he wasn't exactly a no-nonsense kind of guy. He scratched the bridge of his Roman nose and adjusted his hat, scratching his short black hair as he read.

"Hahaha~ Zelina sure was excited for her job earlier." Olalla said, stops whistling for the moment. Had noticed her co-worker dashed from the coffee place to upstairs like a rabbit. Yet the latino is oblivious to why Adam looked to be regretful or the exact effects that the coffee does to Zelina and her scary expression.

All she's thinking about is trying out that coffee later if she can remember it.

That's when Olalla notice a new potential costumer entering the mall within the sight of her section. She smiles and carefree waves at the man in the suit, despite that he doesn't see her. Still, it is nice to wave at a new person.

Oddly enough, the man actually waved back, after having looked at the map and located the comic shop...in front of the store...which made him feel slightly like a blind idiot. He walked towards the shop, tipping his hat as he stepped inside.

"Alright. Arcade." Harper looked at the arcade machines and walked over towards it. He might as well get familiar with the entire "store", whenever he gets break time. However, there is one thing he could not wait for shoving his achievement of finding a job into his roommates face. He really hated his roommate.  He waited around the arcade machines browsing through the kind of games the arcade has. "I am empty I am done. There is nothing wrong. Just a dry spell of the heart..." Harper sang rather softly as he browsed around.

Funny. That the guy she waves at is the costumer for her section! Joy!

"Hola! Welcome to the Comic Book Section of the Revolution! How can I help you?~" Olalla greeted to the costumer, clueless on how one actually does in this situation for any worker. Still it seems like she just dives in and do what came naturally.

The man smiled at Olalla, taking off his hat and taking out a piece of paper. "Hello there! I was wondering if you had..."

The man's smile slowly blanked as the list unraveled, quadrupling in size.

"...You know what, I'll just see what you have and work around how much I can buy..." The man said, folding the list back up and stuffing it under his hat again as he began to browse the shop's selection.

"Okay!" Olalla respond. That is sure is alot of things for that costumer's list that she can say. She watches the man browse the shop's selection, which there's various comic selection and it's collectibles. All kinds of comics that Olalla doesn't know of, which she now focus back onto checking on last minute things at the counter to make sure it works right.

Meanwhile this happens, another potential customer come through the doors of Revolution. A black hair woman wearing blue and white dress, along with black stocking and shoes. She's holding a black purse with a golden buckle on it. She looks around and sees the map for the moment, then nods before start walking to the stairs. Seem to head to the area that Zelina watches over.

The man began picking out a couple comics, and pretty soon he had an armful and was still going. It was taking quite a while, actually.

"...So uh, this is a pretty big place." The man said, making small talk.

---

By the time the potential customer had entered the store, the coffee's initial kick was wearing off and Zelina's smile stopped being creepy. Well, AS creepy. It was still a little creepy...

The woman was still hyper, however, and was bouncing up and down slightly at the thought of her first customer for the day.

While on the ground (Sorry, 'First') floor, a young... lady? ...entered the store.

This, my friends, is Anastasia Taflor. Don't call her Anna. Called her Tash. She likes Tash.

But anyway, Tash enters the store, glad to be in somewhere warm for once. Her flat is extremely cold since she had turned off the heating in order to conserve money, along with the majority of the electrical appliances.

She pulls her wooly hat down - it's one of the few thick items of clothing she owns. Her skirt is quite obviously threadbare, and as much as she doesn't want to, she's going to have to buy a new one. What a money drain she thinks, sighing.

She wanders up to a random employee and taps them on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, but could you direct me to the clothing section?" She asks, speaking in slightly accented English.

"Upstairs." Jamie replied to the customer who was not wearing enough in her mind, as she carried a large box.
...

Adam got the idea to go help another section since he wasn't busy, and scanned the store to figure out who needed assistance... Aside from the midget.

"Yep. Yet you can still see the other stores except upstairs and probably the arcade." Olalla chirps. The place is not big as a regular mall if she compare the size right. She looks up to see how many the guy in the suit is buying, which it look to be alot of them.

-

"...Hello...?" The woman looked slightly creeped out by Zelina's remaining caffeine rush, though she's not aware of this. Instead, she immediately get started on her shopping... At a slightly faster pace than any normal shopper. It seem to look like she's shopping over the seasonal clothing trends.

Tash was immensely creeped out by Zelina.

She looks like she's going to brutally murder me then dance upon my chopped up remains while wearing a tutu dyed in my blood, Tash thought to herself.  Tash has a very active imagination.

She headed for the mens section, searching for perhaps a new pair of jeans, or possibly a new shirt.

She picked up a few items of clothing - a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a new skirt - and went to find the fitting room.

"...You have an arcade?" The man questioned, pausing for a moment while picking out a Superman comic.

---

Zelina nodded in greetings to the two customers that had entered, and began bouncing slightly faster. Not just one, but TWO customers?! It was official, this was going to be a good day. If they needed assistance, she would happily provide.

For now, she just bounced there.

Staring.

Tash walked out of the dressing room in his Mens clothes, and boy did he look STUNNING. The shirt made him look so tall and masculine!

He giggled as he twirled in front of a mirror.

Damn boy, He thought, tugging on the sleeves. You are one attractive man.

He looked down at the jeans and frowned.

These jeans though, I am not sure of. I need a second opinion. Who could give me an opinion...

His eyes drifted across the shop and landed on Zelina. Gulping, he walked over to her.

"Excuse me? Could...could you give me an opinion on these jeans?" He stuttered, looking into those cold, dead eyes.

They're like spiralling vortexes of death that rip the soul from my body like a giant... quesadilla. Wait, what?

Tash frowned at his wandering thoughts.

"Yep~ But I haven't checked that place out yet." Olalla chirps at the man in the suit. Who knew talking with the costumer can be fun? At this point, when she finishes made the final touches absently. It looked pretty much the most shiny counter that she'll ever seen... If she seen it, since she's talking with the costumer at the moment.

-

Once the woman got enough clothes, which she picks out from the rack. Perhaps even picky of what to choose... She went to the Woman's Fitting room. Once in, she feels a sigh of relief that she's out of Zelina's unnerving stare... for now. At least until she finishes trying out the newest trends.

"Huh," The man said, "I may have to bring my daughter sometime. She'd probably love this place."

---

All play and no work makes Zelina a dull girl
All play and no work makes Zelina a dull girl

All play and no work makes Zelina a dull girl

Zelina blinked when one of the customers asked her something, her maniacal grin dropping. How long had she been out of it? She shook her head and smiled a less creepy, more warm smile at the customer.

"Uh, right! Welcome to-you walked in here long before..." She coughed, before stepping back a bit and surveying the customer, arms folded. "Hm...it'd complete the look better in black, honestly."

She looked over at the woman who had just entered the dressing room, noticing her sort of...terrified demeanor as she entered it. She huffed a little. "I was making the face again, wasn't I?" She said aloud.

Tash gave that some thought. He rushed around and picked out a pair of black trousers, before running back to the dressing room.

"Omfg THESE." Tash grinned at himself in the mirror, noticing that his butt looked AMAZING.

"Right, I soooo need these." His smile dropped considerably when he looked at the price tag.

"Oh. Hm. Well... I suppose I could... ask them to hold them for me while I gather the money?" He mumbled hopefully.

I suppose that I'll try on this skirt with my t-shirt...

A minute later, Tash stepped out of behind the curtain. She gave an experimental strut in the skirt.

Not bad, not bad. Bit loose though... hm.

She walked over to the place she got the skirt from, and frowned when she saw that they didn't have the size she wanted avalible.

"Excuse me Miss..." She read the nametag. "...Zelina...?" Odd name... "Do you have the next size down from this skirt in storage by any chance?"

"Ah. That's nice.~" Olalla said, nice to hear that he's bringing his daughter to this place. She then looks at how much comics that the man in the suit have. "You are sure buying alot of comics. Big fan of them?"

-

The woman exits the dressing room, holding her own choice of clothes. She return a couple of them back to the rack, likely it did not fit with her taste. Then walks up to the counter and waits in line behind the man/woman who's currently in midst of a question with Zelina, seeing the worker of the clothing section not in hyper mode gave her some relief.

Adam shrugged and waited around the Lounge, figuring he could sneak in a break.

Meanwhile Jamie... Was... Well...

"Ah! Someone help!" She had been trapped under a fallen desk.

"No, but my daughter and h-spouse, are." The man said, walking up to the counter with a pile that very nearly went to his chin and was so heavy he had to carry it with two hands, "You should hear them debate over whether Superman would beat Batman in a fight. It's hilarious."

---

When both customers had ducked into the dressing rooms, Zelina had taken the opportunity to take out her Gameboy and play something to keep from doing the creepy face. Again.

As soon as she noticed one of the customers come out, she immediately put it away and fixed her posture, smiling at the ma- woman? Woman.

"Ah...no, sorry. What you see is what we got," She frowned slightly when the customer asked for something they didn't have. She hated that... "Belts are over there, though!" She off in a direction to the right, before looking behind the current customer and seeing what the one behind her had.

And actually beginning to ring the items up, knowing what they were. Somehow.
