Title: Reality Shift
Post by: Copycat13 on November 12, 2012, 09:57:27 PM
The time is now, Wake up and meet me. I'll be waiting at the abandoned west section of the train station. *upon waking those who agreed on the contract find themselves in a city... a strange city, where those they have known all their lives strung up in trees and poles. The feeling of fear slowly sweeps into their minds*
You read the agreements. You have no choice but to follow my commands or you end up just like them. Laughter pierces through out the silent city and echoes within their very core.

Clyde is visibly frightened as he makes his way alongside Daniel to the train station. "Who the hell would do this...?!"
Daniel was silent for a few seconds, trying to see if the people were fakes. "Some sick mothefucker, who else?"

"... Nothing but a load of bullshit." He muttered, walking.

Teresa looks up from her reading upon hearing the voice, despite of how.... demanding it be. She is curious of what waits her.

"Curious... Yet it can be interesting." She murmured, before she closed the book and puts it down on the table. She then goes to leave the house to make her way to the train station.

Cletienne woke up in a cold sweat. He breathed in deeply to relax himself and looked around his room. It was small and a bit dirty; just how he had left it. Opening the window, he noted how he had slept in again. Getting out of bed and getting dressed, he opened up a small map book and searched for the station.

"...so I go here." he mumbled to himself before picking up the book and placing it in his coat. He made sure he didn't forget anything in his performer's pouches.

Looking back into his room, he closed the door and walked down the street.

Dallas walk through the damp alleyways of the city with his sketchbook clutch in between his arms, somewhat shivering and afraid to go out of the darkness. He had woken up by a strange voice telling him to meet at the station. Dallas thought to himself (could it be a trap set up by the humans around the area to finish him?) That thought along made Dallas giddy, if it is a trap, Dallas will drag as many down to hell with him as possible. It made Dallas not want to go there, yet an invisible force is driving him towards the train station, which gave him a reason to go there; curiosity. Distance wise, in Dallas's opinion, the train station is not far from where he is at. It is only a thirty-five minute walk from his position.

Due to Clyde being terrified and running full track speed there, he and Daniel were the first to the train station.
"A little dingy..." Daniel muttered as he walked in.

My, Humans are much slower than I imagined... Maybe you worthless sacks of meat weren't worth my infinite amount of time. Then again... I can play with your heads a little bit more. Just as is said that fears became more evident than they were a few minutes ago
Sometimes, I think I am cruel... I have yet to give you your power and weapons yet the creatures I want you to fight are hunting you down as I speak... In fact the more I talk to you the faster they close in. laughing the voice became more feminine and in a sweet tone attempt to soothe their thoughts and fears
I am protecting you but the sooner you all get here the safer you are. again the voice laughs at those not there yet.
Oh, I have guests.

Daniel started at the second voice.
"Split personality, maybe?" Clyde muttered.
"If so, let's hope the feminine gets charge quick..." Daniel replied.

Kirie rubbed his head, wincing, and finally got to the station.

"Fucking place is too far out of the way..." He noticed two people already inside, walked in, and didn't bother talking, just sitting on a bench.

Teresa rubs her head due to the voice, but she is near the train station anyway. As she enter, she noticed there are others in the area.

Interesting... It seem like she is not the only one around here, the girl give a curious look at the people as she take several more steps in.

Realizing that his fear is rising, Dallas started running, Dallas was not a runner but if he can get his hands on a skateboard that might make things a bit easier for him. As Dallas ran, He notice a dead skateboarder on the ground with a skateboard in his hand. Dallas slowed his running and walked towards the dead skater and reach for the skateboard. With a strong grip on the Black skateboard, he jerk the skateboard away from the skater, "Mine now," He said as he now skated towards the train station. Dallas like to skateboard, he even had his own skateboard in his room that he hanged up on the wall after an hour of skating each day.

It did not took him long to reach the train station as he notice a few humans waiting there, Dallas immediately halted. His anxiety rose. (Humans...) He thought, his face frowning at the sight of them. He entered the station, avoided eye contact with anyone, and stood far away.

Cletienne sped up at the voice's malicious laugh and walked faster. He passed by a girl in yellow and took a right. He almost bumped into a hooded boy and then rushed into an alleyway. He opened his map and quickly navigated through the narrow, dim, and dirty paths. He jumped over a knocked over trash can and into the streets outside. Looking around, he saw the station up ahead. Climbing some stairs, he noticed it to be vastly empty aside from a few people who were standing around waiting.

Mustering up some courage, he opened his mouth. "Hello. Are you all here for the gathering?" he asked, fixing his eye covering bangs and looking around at the people.

He noted a stylish girl wearing expensive looking clothing he's seen on display at designer and brand stores all over the city. Near her was a man sitting on the bench with a foul frown and giving dirty, apathetic looks. Near the center of the station stood two men. One looked like he was going to scream, and the other looked wary. He was about to take a seat opposite of the moody man when he noticed a brooding, secluded boy a bit far and hidden from the main area.

(Bc i couldent post due to time differences, i'm going to do a little time skip) Standing next to the station, He stares at it. "... So here i need to go... It'd better be worth my time." Hel, steps further , noticing people. He hides, hoping they dont notice him. He then whispers: "What the hell? There's more then just me? This isent gonna be good...."

"Gathering... That's what you'd call this?" Kirie asked, not in a somewhat curious tone. Not often he talked to people, or gathered with them considering his lack of friends.

"If it is, then yeah that's what I'm here for." He smiled, not really at anyone else, but at himself, for managing to talk to peopple without feeling like they were against him.

My, Kirie... Is that hostility I am sensing from you? The voice now from behind them now.
"My dear boy, I can't let you be like that towards the people you have to trust and work together with or is it that you want a sword to pierce through you heart." With those words a blade appears to have driven itself into Kirie's chest, yet it does not harm him.
"Careful, sometimes the worse the thought the closer it becomes reality. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Marquee, Madame Marquee to all of you." From the shadows she appears (http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/9735/tek50a2e549a052f8474994.png) (http://tektek.org/avatar/51245416)

"You're that female voice I heard," Daniel said, now paying attention. Clyde looked up as well. They had been conversing together and hadn't noticed the others.
"You were talking against that other voice, right?" Clyde asked, rising to his feet.

Kirie stared at the sword yet felt no pain.

"... Did I really sound Hostile...?" He muttered. Honestly he was trying his best to sound nice. It's what happens since he was a social outcast for so many years.

Teresa's eyes widen at the sword that stabbed a boy's chest... Yet there's no blood. Something gleamed her eyes as she looks at the person known as Madame Marquee.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Madam." The rich girl greeted in a formal way, which she give a slight bow to the woman.

"No, The bodies were real... and I have only one voice sweetie." She said as she pulled the blade back.
"If I scared you... I suggest not getting to close." Walking she forms a throne from the shadows and sits down staring at them.

Dallas only stare in awe as he had witness what happened, his eyes gleamed as supernatural things occurred in this premises. However, with more humans coming in, he cannot help but feel anxiety rising still.

Daniel started to walk up to Marque. "So, how did you get the bodies, Madame?"
Title: Re: Reality Shift

Cletienne blinked. It happened all so fast. He stared at the sword with curiosity. It didn't look like a prop so it must have been something out of this world. Taking interest at the vogue and rouge dressed madam, he nodded and acknowledged her. He put a hand to his chin; his other hand wrapped around his waist.

He watched the man ask about bodies. Quite frankly, he didn't want to know. Right now, they were in a bad situation...

"...Madame, you said we don't have much time correct? That 'demons' are coming after this place due to your presence here. What do you need us to do?" he asked calmly, but inside he was worried. Something about this area really put him off. Something about her disturbed him greatly, but he knew she was someone not to cross.
Title: Re: Reality Shift

"I guess one of the humans I picked actually said something worthwhile... So, I shall answer the question. I want you to fight, to cleanse this area's impurity. Although the area here is impure only to a very small degree so these 'demons' should be easier than moving your arms." She responded staring at Cletienne.
" Make no mistake these creatures are not to be taken lightly as I do. These beasts are known as rifts. Thou they don't look like much they cause a great amount of disaster for example the cities population has recently dropped to the people in this very station." she laughed as she thrusted her sword forward causing those nearby a brief but extreme amount of pain.
"Careful, sometimes a dark thought becomes reality."

Kirie thought over that line.

"Dark Thoughts... I have to be careful." He muttered to himself, not as low as he should.

Teresa felt pain at that exact moment, when the Madam thrust her sword forward into air. Causing her to tumble abit. ...Dark thoughts indeed... Yet.... This made things abit more challenging, with the whole situation. She held her chest from the flash pain and steady herself to recover.

She then also spoke up "...Aside from getting rid of those.... "Rifts", what other goals that we also must reach?"

Respectfully, the girl heard the sound and looks behind her. What she noticed from the pile is that parasol from the contract... She picks it up and slightly unsheath it by the cane part, revealing the blade hidden within, before it is shealthed once more. Now holding the parasol like a cane for now.

Kirie stared, not knowing he'd seriously got what he asked for. He picked up... nails. Lots and lots of belts of nails.

"... Well shit." He muttered.

Cletienne gripped the pillar next to him as pain surged through his body. She wasn't joking. They were really in a tight situation. Panting, he composed himself by breathing deeply like he always had before he performed. He looked behind him when the two men went to go pick up something. Looking at the weapon rack, he noticed the tazer and poisons in a box.

Cletienne picked up his tazer and poisons; putting the toxins in the inner pockets of his jackets. His tazer, he placed in his easy to access pockets. Fixing his bangs, he watched what everyone took and where they placed it. He couldn't help but smile behind his scarf at the boy looking dumbfounded at the nails he asked for.

He nodded when the fashionable girl asked what their goal was. He too was interested.

Intense pain coursed through the young boy's entire body, however, Dallas endured it with sheer willpower to survive. Is she going to kill him too? Dallas decided to not go against it as his anxiety lowered finally. Dallas would go and look at the weaponry, but... Humans, the humans crowd the area like mosquitoes! Dallas stood put in the dark corner.

"Good question, Your ultimate goal is simple... Purify the area and eliminate the source of the rifts. Rifts are by-products of the creation a type of energy that sustains life in all realms of existence. The source here is located in the center of the city... be careful thou the longer it takes for the task to be completed the stronger the rifts get. " Smiling sweetly she begins dissolving away.
"Your protection is up humans, whether you like it or not... You all are stuck together and most likely die together. If you have questions just write it in here." once dissolving completely the place the throne once sat lies a light green and tattered book the claw marks on it.

Kirie sighed and put on the belts of nails, and pulled out 8, one between each set of fingers.

"I'm gonna start right away then. Anyone coming with me?" He asked, already out the door, but still within range to hear replies.

Cletienne looked at the book before speeding up to catch up with nail boy. Passing by the hooded boy from earlier, he wondered what kind of beings these rifts were. He eyed the lonesome boy who hasn't moved yet and waved to him before going down the steps. He also passed by the girl in yellow who looked like she missed her entrance. Perhaps the others will tell her what she missed.

He walked next to the nail boy and introduced himself.

"W-Wait, shouldn't we wait for the others and introduce ourselves?" he asked, a bit intimidated by the nails. "I'm Cletienne, you are?"

Dallas noticed the boy waved at him. Someone waved at him? He never had a human waved at him before, but he slowly stepped out of the corner. He quickly grab a knife before rushing back to the corner away from the people. Not wanting to talk with any of them. To be forced to work with humans was a nightmare enough.

"I'm hel. Stay out of my way, i don't like others." Dallas heard from another boy a couple of yards away from him.

Teresa walks to follow with the two boys (Kirie and Cletienne) about to exit. Just when she near them enough, she introduce herself.

"Nice to meet you both." Kirie tried to say it nicely... But unless you knew his intention, it sounded  more like he was looking down on them, and was glaring straight at them. Though that wasn't his intention either, it was just his eyes were like that.

"I'd love to wait for that last one or two but honestly, we should get going. She did say these things get stronger." He pointed out, as he adjusted the nail belts, placing them under his sleeves, pant legs, shirt, and inplace of his belt. He even had a small one around his neck like a choker.

Cletienne nodded at Teresa and looked back at Kirie. It was hard to see his facial expression due to the scarf and long bangs but he was kind of keeping a laugh in. Kirie looked like one of his co-worker's dogs with the nail choker. Then he caught the glare.

"Yeah we should. I don't exactly want to end up a bloody smear on the ground." he said while looking back. "Those two adults back there, that hooded guy named Hel, and that lonely boy will probably be alright. Its a four man team. But... what happened to that other girl?" Looking around, he couldn't see her around. Perhaps she was in the station, or she left on her own. He decided to believe the former.

He stretched his arms and kept walking; wondering what powers the others asked for.

Dallas notice the group leaving but still crowded. Since that he has no where to go, he decided to follow the group but stayed back away from them. He held the knife and his sketchbook tightly in his arms against his chest. He was shaken at the fact that he would fight monster, but more shaken about working with others. Would he have to do all the work? Would he be treated like trash? Dallas had showed no courage to introduce himself believing they would make fun of him the moment he speak. His voice is dead and hoarse when he speaks. His anxiety rose in him.

Clyde and Daniel had followed the trio absentmindedly. Daniel told Clyde where to walk as he looked down. They were maybe 10 feet behind the group.
"I'm Clyde Mallot," Clyde said, walking up to the group. He had been inspecting the dagger to make sure it was right. He then nudged Daniel, who was content with being silent.
"... Daniel Eads. Call me Daniel," he said apathetically.

... *thinking* "I Havent got a place to go... I'll follow these guys around, but not let them notice me." Hel Started following the group around, hiding when they're about to notice him. He does keep a sharp eye, however to see if nothing would ambush him... Or them.

Cletienne turned around, while walking, and introduced himself to the older duo.

"Hello Daniel and Clyde. Nice to meet you." he greeted. It was a bit weird having two adults around, but they could be a wealth of wisdom. Or not. Hopefully the latter.

As they main group walked, Cletienne, behind his face-covering bangs, sweatdropped. Every time they passed by those refractive street mirrors placed on blind spot corners, he could spot the two anti-social boys far behind the older duo.

The boy with the book looked visibly strained with the slow walking, wariness, and what might be shaking. Then again, all of them are up against an unknown force; it wouldn't be too strange if he was anxious. Hel was also far behind the book boy. Cletienne knew Hel wanted to be alone, but it was really dangerous to be so far from the group.

In a low whisper so only Kirie, Teresa, Clyde and Daniel could hear, he worriedly asked them, "Anyone notice we're being followed by the book boy and Hel? I could see them via those street mirrors." He sneakily pointed at the upcoming mirror so the other two tagging along don't notice.

A screech can be head from the top of a building. On the building a dark silhouette of a creature leaps and lands in front of the larger group. Before them was a creature with pupiless  eyes red as blood, skin dark as midnight, arms coated in thin red lines leading up to its crimson clawed hands, its darkened, blue, and spaded tail swishing back and forth. It stared at them for a moment before growling showing its blood stained teeth, looking sharp and dangerous. It runs down the street on all fours screeching at them.

(These are the easiest rift beasts... Ask Marquee on official names for each new rift beast )

Kirie reacted calmly to the threat. It wasn't that he wasn't scared, it was more of he was freaking the hell out so bad, that he internalized it.

He pulled the nails under his sleeves out, and quickly threw 8 of them at the beast rushing at them, aiming for it's head.

"Made a living by playing darts." He muttered to himself under his breathe.

"And don't worry about those two... If they do anythig suspicious just warn me." Kirie added, coming off alot more threatening then he intended. It sounded like his plan was to kill them.

Teresa didn't answer to Cletienne as the riftbeast appeared all of the sudden. She placed her hand to take the sword out of the parasol, but hesitates... Remember they are human, as there is the feeling of the fear of the unknown swells up within the girl. The sound of the She then move out of the way to avoid the charge, if it weren't for the darts that hit the beast to slow it down, even for a moment, and if Teresa move moments later...

The Riftbeast would've gain First Blood for their side.

The girl, as it happens too fast to notice, reveals her blade out and quickly strike beast. Even though if she lands or miss her attack on the unknown.

Dallas notice the strange beasts attacking the group. The young boy was not afraid of them, just stare in awe at them though they look ferocious. He might get a few ideas for his next big drawing from these creatures. Dallas pondered if he should help the group or not until he heard "And don't worry about those two... If they do anything suspicious just warn me." It sounded like that kid is going to kill him, if he does anything. Dallas made his decision and only watch, sketching the strange beasts into his sketchbook with a pen to keep record. In case if he did see the beasts charge at him, he will take his knife and into a defense position, though Dallas had never wielded a weapon before, which is a weak defense.

Cletienne froze in place as he saw the Rift. It was so grotesque, so inhuman. Snapping back to reality, he was cut short from screaming when Kirie threw his nails at the monstrosity. He could hear the beast roar and charge forward at Teresa. He sidestepped and could only watch as the beast narrowly miss the girl. Thankfully enough, Kirie's nails must have done some sort of damage as the beast slowed down before hitting Clyde or Daniel.

Digging in his jacket, he took out his tazer and held it shakily in his hand. He should have chosen a better weapon. Getting close to that thing was suicide!

"Y-yeah, I will Kirie." he said shakily. Not at the nail boy's threatening demeanor, but at the sudden arrival of the monster. "T-Teresa? You alright?" He pointed to the blood trail coming down her sword.

Dallas, rising in fear, saw the beast charging at him. Dallas did not want to get anywhere near it and tries to back away from it. Dallas tried however his neck was wrapped by the rift creature's tail tightly blocking air from entering his lungs. As he struggled, he witness a human attacking his attacker. Was he trying to save him for the sake of saving? or was he using him to take advantage of him, like everyone else would do? He was lifted up and slammed to the ground, knocking the breath out of him, he held against the pain. Out of fear and desperation, Dallas press the knife against the tail and tries to cut it off to free himself, if he did successfully, he then crawl away as fast as he could to escape from the rift creature, despite the pain slowing him down.

Adrenaline still rushing through the girl's head, she didn't hear what everyone is saying... Too loud. Only focusing on the thing that was attacking someone... and someone else is attacking the thing...

She rush in with a charge, swings the blade into the side of the beast that Clyde is not on.

Screeching even louder the Rift struggle becomes weaker and the knife cuts through its tail. weakly tries to run away but quickly collapses onto the sidewalk. Upon its death... screeching all around of the city can be heard and the sound of claws meeting stone slowly getting louder.

Kirie had finally come out of his calm-shock... and Immediatly freaked out.

"Crazy idiots! Run! Don't fight!" He immediatly ran away, in any direction that lacked a bit of sound.

Cletienne jumped at the foul screeching arising from every direction. Some sounded close by, some far. Either way, staying here was not the best idea. They were powerless. As much as he didn't want to think that, he knew that it was a matter of life or death.

"Teresa, l-lets go. Like away from here!" he shouted, following Kirie. Pulling out his map from earlier, he  pointed to a nearby park east of where they were. "Its best not to separate, hurry! We're going to the Central Park! We'll get some cover there. I think..." he shouted at everybody while moving towards Dallas, Daniel and Clyde. The last part a small mumble.

Daniel picked up on the increase of sound. "Uhh... Maybe we miscalculated."
"Probably," Clyde said, sheathing both knives. Daniel went to go pick up Dallas to carry him. However, Dallas struggled, so he ended up knocking him out. Clyde and Daniel then ran after everyone else.

Tersea, now heard what Clet and Kirie are yelling, snapping her out of the trance.

Out cold, Dallas was carried by the older man on the shoulder. Before he was knocked out, his mind was raced with a ton of questions that he did not understand and before long he passed out. Oddly, the boy was light to carry, like he was underweight for someone his age.

Screeching and roaring as the one that died slowly sinks into a puddle of crimson. They appeared small but soon the hordes of them appeared running through the streets and rooftops some coming through alleyways and buildings as the group ran in front of them. Each of them wanted to avenge the fallen Rift.

Cletienne lead the group down narrow alleyways big enough for two humans to stand side by side, but not enough for those horrendous beasts to get in. He ran behind Kirie, pointing out the directions for him. They were almost at the park. Perhaps there are medical supplies and some wort of makeshift weaponry in the park management buildings.

He looked back at the others and asked in between pants, "Daniel, how is the boy you're holding doing? Is he alright?"

"If we go right on through, barring that there aren't any monsters, we can run straight through to the park." Cletienne navigated the map and asked, "Kirie, there should be an exit up ahead. Can you see if there are any of those... monsters outside?"

The performer has never taken this route before. In the event the monsters are outside and waiting for an ambush, Cletienne had to think of a plan and quick. He didn't know anything about those monsters but perhaps they could use a decoy to distract them. Oh his persons, he had a few small firecrackers that he usually used to entertain children with. As well as a few matches.

Just as Kirie stepped out of the alleyway the world shook as a sceech broke the high heavens. Just outside was a Rift similar in appearance except much larger and horns in the shape of a bloody crown. Its blood eyes looking straight at Kirie it lunges forward claws extended and aimed for his throat.

Tersea let goes of Hel, runs out of the alleyway to pull the nearest thing on Kirie's body. Before she drags/pulls him back into the alleyway, to avoid getting clawed by the bigger beast. The two are in the alleyway with the others... and the lookout plan is gone.

Cletienne stared at the larger beast's sharp claws and gaping jaw lined with flesh shredding teeth. He gulped at just how close Kirie was to death. Staring at the gaping mouth, the performer hatched out a plan and pulled out his poison. He flipped open a small vial labelled 'Potent Paralysis' and threw the contents down the throat with his throw he perfected in street performing.

"I think the poison should work anytime now! Kirie, Teresa! A-Attack it while its down!" he told them, flipping his tazer on.

Kirie was still frozen. He had frozen in fear the moment he saw the thing. He heard Cletienne say to attack but he wouldn't move.

Till he finally just imagined it as a giant dart board, and threw the nails at the centers. The eyes.
Title: Re: Reality Shift

After Kirie throws his nails, Teresa takes her sword from the parasol and dash out at it. She goes for the stab into the large beast's mouth, twisting it and takes it out. Then slash it across it's body. If the larger riftbeast attempts to attack, she would attempt to block it with her parasol. Unknowing that the parasol is reinforced for defense. Causing her to get pushed back due to the beast's strength.

Title: Re: Reality Shift
Post by: Inu-Jii on November 17, 2012, 10:39:21 PM
Cletienne moved in past Kirie and gulped as he thrust his tazer out at the beast. Sparking it, he zapped the beast in the eye Kirie wounded, a gash Teresa left on its long tongue, and finally he set the power at max and brought it to a wound near the other eye. He also gave it one good kick to the nose before he moved back just in case.

"I gave it a potent dose so it shouldn't recover too quickly. We'll need to kill it before then..." he said.
Title: Re: Reality Shift
Post by: Nask on November 18, 2012, 10:18:59 PM
"...I suggest we need to use any escape plan soon once this thing..." Slight amused thoughts of how to kill the beast. Even starting to smile. "Dead."

Teresa went for a stab once again. This time into the larger Riftbeast's neck, before taking it out and start slicing the neck. Taking the head off would means a dead beast normally.

Kirie watched it melt... And turn and ran over to the nearest trash can since it was a park, and threw up. When he finished he fell back, breathing heavily, holding his head.

"Can't be real..." He muttered, having come back to his senses. He got really into games so he tried thinking of this as a large game for most of the time, but it had finally snapped, seeing it die and turn into a puddle. He couldn't see it like that anymore.

Kirie was facing reality.

Cletienne grabbed Hel and began heading out, pushing Clyde aside.

"I say we move while we can! Those monsters came when you guys killed the smaller one right? That big one probably just called for more!" he shouted and ran towards the park.

He caught up with Kirie and looked around for a place where they could hide. Not far off, there was a building.

"You guys go check that building!" he shouted again, his voice hoarse. He remembered he hadn't had much time to rehydrate. Not to mention he was dry from all the cold sweat and using up energy trying not to freak out.

Teresa stares at the blood puddle where the beast once was.... A dull feeling mixed with something else, is felt through her being. She held her mouth with her arm, since her hands are full. Trying to keep herself from feeling like... she needs to throw up.

She head what Clet said, the girl goes to follow and head to the building that Clet mentioned. She'll... figure out what she is feeling later....

Clyde turned angrily to Clet. "Run while we can?! You think that this is an oppurtune moment to have a 6 person group with two unconscious members run a few miles to the Park with an unknown amount of enemies hounding us?! This isn't some game where die and respawn - This is life, where you die and NEVER FUCKING RETUR-" At that, Daniel covered Clyde's mouth. Daniel had left Dallas propped against the wall incase he needed to really break something up.

"Shut it," he told Clyde. He then turned to Clet. "He's right. If we run now, we could be overpowered. We need to stay here and distract the enemy when we know there are not many left around."
Title: Re: Reality Shift

Kirie wiped his eyes, not even realizing he had cried as well, and wiped his mouth. He wobbled up, and staggered towards the exit.

"Move while we can... Staying is dumb. There is the idea of getting swarmed as we leave, but there is a better chance of it if we stay." Kirie said, without looking back. He knew he had a desperate and hopeless look in his eyes. He wanted it done with, to go home. Believe none of this was real.

Infact he felt like he was about to collapse again, and possibly vomit still. All that kept him moving and stopped a complete mental breakdown was the idea of death, which was much worse than anything else to him.

After hearing the commotion, Dallas slowly opened his eyes as he regained consciousness groaning from his head that is jolting pain. Clyde just looked around angrily. He glared at Clet and Kirie, then threw his hands up. "Fine. If you're so dead set on killing yourselves, go the fuck ahead. Just don't expect me to mourn  it," he said as he walked back down the alley.

Daniel sighed, and glanced at Dallas. He nodded a simple greeting.

"If you wan to stay there, then fine. Go right ahead! Right now we have no supplies, no place to sleep, no cover, no source of heat, no lights, no nothing. Just a stingy little alleyway!" Cletienne snapped as he stormed down towards the building. "Some of us are tired, and need time to collect themselves! Staying out here with a fear of being attacked is not going to help!"

The door wasn't locked. Much to his relief. He opened the door and noted nothing out of the ordinary.

"Of course it isn't a game!" something in him burned slowly and darkly as he remembered his parents. "I want to live! If that means taking risks then call me a kid. I don't give a flying FUCK! Now get over here before those things come or you can stay and pray they'll go away!"

Daniel went after Clet, while Clyde stood in the entry of the alley.

Daniel fell in stride next to Clet. "He wasn't saying that you're a kid, and neither am I. He's just saying think through all of the possibilities," Daniel said conversationally. He tehn glanced around. "... Did you make sure we can't get cornered here?"

After the intense argument, The confused young boy, Dallas watched the two humans go their separate ways. Unsure of what the argument was about, Dallas decided for himself that it might be best to stay put, he felt more at home in the alleyways. Cletienne opened his water bottle and looked at Daniel frustratingly through the corner of his eye. He took a few sips and put it away.

"I've, no, the troupe I perform with has been here many times. We usually use this building to keep our props safe. There is a storage room and emergency escape route underneath this park." he answered back a bit coldly. "...You should head back for your friend and that boy. He might be hurt. I remember there being a medical room inside. And sorry for the outburst..."

The last part was a low mumble.

He then went in and began to check the windows to see if the bars were in place. They were small windows. Not big enough for those monsters to fit through the bars and windows. Hopefully they would be safe for the time being...

Teresa would've arrived into the park building first... If she hadn't keeping herself from throwing up into bush near the building, where the sounds of it would've attacted the beasts; however.... She didn't throw up, she felt it is going to, yet it's not coming out....

....Maybe, she caught something earlier... or that she wasn't feel safe yet. That Teresa thoughted.

She shakenly push herself off the wall, then picks up her weapon that she dropped earlier. She walk around the corner of the building and then into the entrance. Only to see Daniel and Clet, who seem to look around within this building. She waves at them if they see her, before heads to the nearest restroom in the building.

Just so, she can throw up from whatever this sick feeling in her stomach and collect her thoughts.

Cletienne noticed Teresa, but he was too frustrated to reply back. Stepping into the medical room, he checked the last window and looked through the medical supplies. He decided that they would only be needing enough medical supplies to last them a while. They could always come back to get the remainder.

Noticing a good emergency bag in the corner, he picked it up and looked through the contents. There were emergency rations and two medi-kits. He put in two boxes of bandages, two rolls of gauze, a few bottles of rubbing alcohol, some serum, and whatever he thought they might need. Closing the bag and picking it up, he walked back into the main room and set the bag down.

Next was the storage and escape route...

It taken her awhile, before Teresa get out of the restroom. She was earlier, simply trying to throw up the feeling in her stomach, reflected on her thoughts. That the reason, she in this is cause of she simply... bored, til something happened when she draws the wound from the rift beast. Which gives a unfamilar feeling... Like it was a rush, that she didn't give much awareness around her. Only those rift beast...

....No wonder that she was feeling sick.... The girl do need some fresh air, but not with those things around.

Teresa simply waits beside Kirie, holding her stomach. The feeling still there, but... lessen after the wait in the restroom.

They had at most a good five day's amount of food they could take out of a whole supply of months and months of food. The water they could use filters instead of carrying around tons of water bottles. With that set, Cletienne picked up a second emergency bag full of rations and carried it back upstairs. Little did he know that they were under attack.

Opening the door he saw Clyde, much to his annoyance (not that anyone could tell due to his bangs), and sighed. At least everyone was inside. He then noticed a few of them armed. No sooner than that did he hear a monstrous screech that answered his question.

He kept the basement door open just in case they needed an escape route...

Cletienne quietly clicked his tongue in annoyance at Clyde. He quickly grabbed the medical bag but strained at trying to carry both bags without tilting to each side to keep balance. He frowned underneath his scarf. The exhaustion and strain must be setting in. It wasn't too surprising concerning the situation he and everyone else has been thrown into.

Dallas flinched when Clet asked him. However, giving the current situation, he only nodded to Clet. He was a bit concerned about the creatures outside as he heard loud scratches from the outside, he pulled up his own weight. Once he saw the medical bag, his mind clicked as he remembered that his mother was a doctor and had seen some of the work she has done in her local clinic. He felt an unknown feeling inside of him rising. This feeling made him more relaxed more happier, will I finally be able to trust someone? He stopped and dashed back bringing with him two chairs towards the door, he knew that they need a barricade of some sorts. Once everyone was inside. He leaned back on the wall and took a deep sigh. Sliding down on to his bottom, he put his hands to his head and gripped his medium length hair. He was tired. Too tired. They needed to rest. At least for only a bit.

Kirie breathed lightly, thinking it all over. Trying to make a rational way to accept the situation.

"People say unnatural things happen all the time right? I guess they were right." He muttered, not able to sleep, trying to force himself to accept that idea.

Time felt like it was going slowly... exhaustion was kicking in making many of them extremely tired. The noise could no longer be heard just the their breathing and their own thoughts.

Dallas had looked over his sketch multiple times during the last three hours, making sure he has been inking his comic. The drawing itself is an action scene, a shootout to be exact, where a well-dressed pudgy, man with a dark stubble holding a Tommy-gun while taking cover behind a car as it is being bombarded by bullets. The man itself was drawn in a 1920's cartoon style. He had entirely forgotten that his shift ended two hours ago. He closed the sketch book and began to lie down on the ground, in need of some sleep.

Cletienne looked around at the others who didn't look all too rested. He couldn't blame them. They were in a hell hole that they can't just suddenly get used to.

Getting up and moving his body, he reached for a energy bar and opened it. Biting into it, he noted how bland it tasted. Downing it with his water bottle, he sighed.

"...we aren't any match against those beasts..." he mumbled to himself. "...if only I could use powers like my ava-" he abruptly stopped, his eyes going wide. He slapped his cheeks and sighed. This wasn't a game. Even if it was... he wouldn't dare think about playing around like his parents. Never.

The tired but now awake boy then noticed something odd. It was silent; aside from their anxious breathing, sniffling, and the occasional snoring. No sound from outside. Could the monsters have left them in peace? Or were they outside biding time? Cletienne didn't want to take chances and open the door.

"Hello Clet, or was it Kirie? I was never that good with names." Madame Marquee said phasing through the door, covered in crimson, sword drawn and dripping red, in her other hand was large heart still beating and soaking the floor.
"Either way the situation has escalated much more quickly than what I thought and appears this isn't best time to send in newer... recruits... Sweetie you look tired you want to lay down or do you want sit there awkwardly?" She said looking over the tired team before stabbing the heart with her sword.
"Well... I think I should clean myself up." smirking at Clet before genuine concern flashed across her face.

Cletienne paused to stare at the Madame covered in gore. It took him a while to process what the heck he just looked at before instinctively sliding back in disgust. When the madame stabbed the now twitching heart a gush of blood splattered onto the spot he was just at. The boy simply stared at the blood and brought his scarf to his mouth as if he was going to gag.

He would be angry and aggravated at the Madame for her complacent attitude to their current state, but he was too shocked to move.

Clet instinctively tried to swing himself free through the madam's string grip. His resistance was futile. Her grip was far too strong, and he was tired. Although he doubted that he could break free even at top shape. The putrid and foul smell of the monster's blood wafted around her, mingling with whatever perfume she uses. The gore that floated looked as if a twin was behind her.

"...Please let me go Madame." he pleaded, knowing that she most likely wouldn't. "J-just let me go!"

She let go her arms going up as if she was surrendering. "I guess I'm not that good with kids..." she said under her breathe as the floating gore fades away as well as the smell.
"I was certain you all might have needed medical attention or at least better food and rest." Her voice getting soft and sweet. "I'm here to help not hurt, I swear upon the great realms that be that I am here to assist you all currently or at least bring you all to safety if this situation way over zero ranked recruits." looking down at her dress she gasps as she notices a notably tear across the stomach revealing some silver armor  . " This was a new dress! Oh this won't do at all if it looks like some ruined drab... Oh well I rather not waste my magic on it... I'll repair it some time later." snapping her fingers the dress vanishes in an incredibly loud (enhanced by the room) pop leaving her in full body armor like a knight... minus the helmet.
"Sorry, about the noise sweetie... but I can't be caught with damaged clothes" Smiling to herself.

"Oh the armor is just for show nothing special about it... Now I'm here to give you something that could assist you that I forgot to give you before I left." putting her hands on her hips and glaring at Clet.
"My observations have lead me to believe that you... Cletienne are their current leader or at least someone who has come up with ideas."

Cletienne frowned.

"I'm not the leader. No one is at the moment... How we are right now, I doubt anyone can be leader..." he mumbled and sank back down onto the ground. "What did you forget to give us? A better explanation at what we should be expecting in more detail?!" he snapped at the adult, his tired mind and sleepy body could do nothing to stop his increasing irritation towards adults.

He slumped his head down into his knees and sighed heavily.

"Someone is irritated... Shame how nice I'm trying to be with you when I could belittle you quickly." Her eyes coldly staring at Clet.
"I forgot to give the ability to sense the source and 'see' it but I was in a hurry... I was thinking of giving you your requested powers to a minor extent since the situation has escalated but now I'm having second thoughts." pulling out a small vial and throwing it to Clet before reappearing to the right of him.
"One sip from each of you... you should be able to feel the build up of negative energy close by." sighing as she walks towards a wall and places her hand on it.
"Cletienne... I... Oh never mind now is not the time to get sentimental." Removing her hand from the wall a door appears glowing faintly
"This door have food and refreshments... and beds for the weary I want you all rested before you all receive even a drop of your powers! So please relax while I defend you out here."

Looking at the still sleeping boy she immediately thought of waking him instead she completely lost track of what she was doing. "I'm pretty sure Nectar would taste a bit better with some sage mixed with some honey... OH! I could even use dragon blood to enhance that one potion so that the increased endurance might last longer... I was thinking of something earlier..."
Just about ready to close the door she smacks her forehead with the palm of her hand "um... kirie? no... Daniel? no... Oh right Dallas! I can't leave him out like a lamb ready to be slaughtered." Running over to Dallas and warping his stuff next to a vacant bed gently picks up the sleeping boy and carries him into the room.
"... I'd think he'd at least be a little heavier... Does this boy even eat?" Talking more or less to herself as she carefully tucks Dallas into the bed.
"Sweet dreams, My warriors may they bring peace to one's restless mind." She said turning back to look at them with downcast eyes as she closed the door behind her.

With a rejuvenating feeling, Dallas slowly opened his eyes from his deep slumber. He pondered as he rose into a sitting position, scooting towards the edge of the bed. "How did I get here?" was the first question that came into his mind. He remembered drawing in his sketchbook before falling asleep on the hard ground like a bear going into hibernation. He rubbed his head, questioningly. He felt a growl sound from his abdomen. Not a big deal, he can always cook something small for himself.

Cletienne woke up and looked around. Everyone else was asleep except the boy, Dallas. He rubbed his head and sighed lightly. He dreamed about his parents again. And that put him in a less than pleasant mood. Groggily getting up from the bed, he quietly got out and fixed his hair, clothes, and looked over his weapons and items.

"...same as I last checked" he mumbled. He knew it wasn't a dream. He was long past that, but he had a hope that he was wrong. That this was all truly just his imagination.

He walked over to the table and began to silently eat and drink. It tasted very much like food. He expected it to become some horrific thing once in the mouth. Perhaps the Madame wasn't such a bad person?

Still, he couldn't forgive her for letting them go out without proper power or idea of what they'll face...

He eyed Dallas in the corner of his eye, hidden behind his bangs.

Teresa is sleeping. Sleeping like a log, which it seem unlady-like for those of her standing as her hair is messy, clothes in mess, and her posture in informal position. Her face expressed something of a reaction to what seem to be a bad dream, causing her to roll over....

Since she used to have larger beds, she fell off the bed and land on the floor. Roughly.

"OW!" Teresa suddenly awake in pain, groan as she rubs her face. The brown head groggy gets up and do her routine of neating her bed, which it is in a sluggish fashion. Memories of yesterday's events slowly came back to her...

Cletienne quietly ate his breakfast and downed it with water. He watched the others socialize, to the best of their abilities in their current state that is, and sat down back on his bed. He heard Kirie nearby numble about candy and he chuckled a bit. He honestly didn't think someone who looked the way Kirie does would dream and drool about sweets.

Feeling a little more better after chuckling, he walked around their closed room. Nothing was out of the ordinary and nothing had changed aside from a bit of the food and drinks being consumed. He picked up their emergency bags and shuffled through them to organize the contents. He replaced the rations that weren't healthy or all too helpful with smaller and lighter packets of food that can be eaten on the spot. He made sure to put some extra water bottles just in case. He moved some of the medical supplies into his pouch for emergencies.

Getting up, he felt something shift in his pocket. He reached his hand in and pulled out a small bottle. He remembered that the Madame had thrown the mixture to him and that each of them take a sip to gain their powers...

Elsewhere, or just outside the warehouse, there was a single person walking the streets, debating with himself whether or not he was going crazy.

That person was not making a good case for himself, sanity-wise, as he was muttering to himself about "blasted monsters" and "Mafia scumbags", and was incredibly disheveled, with his face showing whiskers that were somewhere between "five o'clock shadow" and "hobo beard". His trench coat was in a state of sorry repair, with a few stains here and there along with the occasional bullet hole, from past encounters with the city's underworld. He paused outside the door to a particular warehouse, and murmured, "Well, here's as good a place as anything to start looking. Maybe I'll find some survivors?" He ambled over to the door, and knocked three times.

(Okay, so I'm outside where the other PCs are.)

Teresa eats her second apple when she saw a newcomer enter the safe room. Her thoughts is similar to Daniel, although is curious about the person with all sorts of questions coming through her head like how did he get in here or is he one of the recruits that the Madam mentioned.

She stares at the guy, taking in the details of the newcomer. Which it can be unnerving to some, but it is something she used to do for amusement or out of boredom from her activities.

Cletienne spun around and looked at the adult. He carefully put the potion back into his jacket and took out his tazer.

"...I don't remember him at the meet up..." he replied to Daniel, not looking at him.

In fact, this could be reinforcement or an enemy. Perhaps he's on the same level as the madame? Or stronger? Or maybe he is an enemy who beat the madame? Then why does he look homeless? Is it a ruse? Is he for real? Are they all just simultaneously dreaming? So many questions buzzed through his head.

Speaking of meet up...

"Well, more like finding out what the devil's going on with those things, then stopping them, to be honest," Harrison replied. Did any of you kids have a voice in your head offer you great power sometime over the past couple of weeks?"
Title: Re: Reality Shift

Cletienne turned off his tazer but still held it out with his finger on the trigger. Looking at the adult male with both suspicion and distrust he replied with a bit of attitude, "...For an investigator, you're pretty dense if you have that information and all those clues in front of you. Here are a bunch of teens, and two adults, inside a closed room with weaponry, that could get us detained, and supplies located in the basement of a park management building that's mysteriously empty aside from bloodthirsty monsters that we ran away from a few hours back."

The boy wasn't thinking too rationally. It wasn't obvious that someone could put two and two together. Especially under these circumstances and out-of-this-world activity. He knew how rude he was being, but he didn't care. It was an adult. Another adult. An adult that looked like a homeless man that calls himself an investigator.

After a very short moment of silence, Cletienne answered again, albeit begrudgingly to be a bit more nicer, "And yes. I've had that kind of dream." He purposely left out the part about the potion in his possession the Madame left them with.

"...Yes." Teresa answered to both questions from the investigator and Kirie. She don't know what to make of the newcomer, but is curious of how the investigator takes this information, probably overconcern with the details or something about their safety and crap.

She finished with her apples, all is left are the cores and seeds. Shame that there's no people who can make use of those stuff, unless they somehow make bullets out of them which despite how amusing it would be. Not likely with those beasts rely on other senses instead of sight, good distraction of irritation though.

Back on topic... She tiredly asked, "...Any particular reason why... Mr. Medley..?"

Her tone to formality for some resemblance of normal business seem to cracked abit due to still sleepy from getting up til breakfast energy kicks in.

"Only for a few hours," replied Harrison, as he moved away from the door. He purposefully kept a respectful amount of distance between himself and the kid with the taser, since he believed that getting tased by someone who he wanted to help wouldn't be a good start to his investigations. "As for the dreams, I think that whoever sent us those dreams is connected to the monsters. If everyone here had the same dream, then it would be safe to assume, given the madness that's happening out there, that the voice in the dream is connected to the rest of it. Maybe the voice is the one behind all of these monsters showing up. Find her," he finished, "and we find out the truth." When he finished talking, he had backed over to the table, and leaned against the wall opposite it. "It's only a theory, of course, but my gut has a good felling about this."

"Ah... If you could... Would you please...?" Kirie asked somewhat politely, while grabbing the Maple Syrup, and drenching various food with it, before consuming them.

Cletienne pointed at the door and asked, "...did that door just change color?"

He carefully shifted the potion out of his pocket and into his pouch. He lowered the tazer but still had it in hand just in case.

It did not take Dallas long to make the Cappuccino Smoothie before Cletienne pointed out the strange phenomenon. Dallas stared at the door for a long time before shrugging, "I don't see the difference." He stated as he place the glass cup full of the smoothie on the table for Kirie.

"I swore it changed color... and I heard a click..." he mumbled.

Cletienne walked passed the investigator, while giving him a suspicious glare from behind his thick bangs, and stood in front of the door. His hand reached for the door knob but hesitated. WHat would happen if he opened the door? Would the beasts come in? Would the madame be wrathful for opening the door? Is the door even able to be opened?

Taking a gulp of air, he placed his hand on the door knob and tried to see if it would budge...

-the doorknob moves with ease giving almost no resistance to Clet other than sending him a mental question asking if everyone is ready-

Cletienne snapped his hand back and away from the door. Taking a few awkward steps back, he stared at the door in shock and confusement. He shook his head and rustled a hand through his hair to shake out the weird voice.

He accidentally tripped on one of the bags and he fell on to his bottom with a thud.

"...Wha-?" he incoherently tried to ask himself what he just went through.

"... Well?" Daniel asked Clet impatiently. "Are you going to go or not?

Cletienne turned his head and glared at Daniel from behind his thick bangs.

"Someone asked me if we were 'ready' to go through the door." Fishing through his pouch, he pulled out the potion. "We'll have to take a sip of this... concoction and then we'll obtain our powers that we wished for. And then we'll be ready."

Getting up, he placed the potion on the table for everyone to see. The boy just stared at it warily.

"...Anyone want to try this mysterious liquid the madame gave us?" he asked after a while.

Dallas could not help but stare at the mysterious liquid that stood on the table, the flask gleamed in the light. He wondered if the potion had a very bad taste maybe he can just put a small bit of that liquid into his pancake just in case. He was a bit hesitant to go, he looked towards the others to see if anyone would volunteer.

Clyde steps up, and picks up the vial. "Seven of us... I'll make sure to only take a bit." He carefully unstoppered it, and sips 1/7 of the potion. He caps it, and places it down.

-The relatively tasteless fluid traveled smoothly through Clyde's throat. It brought with it a certain warmth... Like a fond memory, the feeling of comfort, and the feeling of one's closest friend- [Clyde can now generate light or at least to his left hand]

Teresa stares at Clyde for the moment to see if anything odd, only to see none of any that would've resembled tentacles might burst out of the adult's back or became ill and turned into a zombie mutant thing like you see in horror movies. Pushing away the amused thoughts, the girl goes next by picks up the vial and open it. Then she took a sip of her 1/7th drop from the vial and closed it, before place back on the table.

Teresa blinks at the tiny taste of the potion.  Curiously, it tasted like....

Kirie copied the others, taking a sip, then putting it back.

"... Could be sweeter..."

Clyde tests his powers for a moment, his hand glowing brightly.

"Look," Daniel said, going for the vial. "A dumbass flashlight." He picks up the vial, and takes a sip of his share.

-The potion's taste remains the same still bring out each person's positive memories-
[Kirie can now teleport at least a meter!]
[Teresa can now change her center of gravity or at least walk on a vertical surface!]
[Daniel can create an after image!]
*multiple powers equal some slower growths in others*

Dallas looked back towards the vial of the mysterious liquid and took a small sip from the vial after taking it from Daniel's hand. It tasted really plain like water, to him at least. He placed the vial back down on the table and he did not feel anything different than he was before.

Harrison eyed the vial that the others had sipped from warily. Whatever it was that was in that vial, it caused one of the others to gain the ability to create light from his hand. That was not something that one normally expects from a regular drink, or even a drug-laced drink. He picked up the vial, and carefully sipped a small amount of the liquid inside. Just enough so that any harmful side effects would be minimized...

Clettiene took a sip as he was the last to gain powers. He downed the remainder and looked at the empty vial. He didn't feel weird or anything, but the liquid had a texture like water, but something was oddly light about it. Maybe it was really water. Magical water.

He looked at the rest of the group who were looking around and testing their powers.

-When last of the liquid was gone the door creaked and groaned changing to a lighter color-
[Clettiene can now travel outside his body while sleeping]
[Dallas can create an object no bigger than a dog]
[Harrison can change the density of his body]

Harrison slowly approached the door, bracing himself to do...something; he wasn't sure what. He reached out for the doorknob, in order to open the door, and put an end to this dramatic tension. Otherwise, he reasoned, we'd just be whiling away our lives in this warehouse forever...
